The call of the moose is beckoning the Prince George Barracudas Swim Club.
Starting this Friday, the city's club swimmers will heed that rallying call to get into racing mode when they host the Medical Moose Meet long course event at the Aquatic Centre.
With 294 swimmers from nine clubs converging on the 50-metre pool, the Aquatic Centre will be a hub of activity for the three-day meet. The Barracudas will be out in full force to compete against clubs from Fort St. John (Inconnu), Chetwynd (Electric Eels), Quesnel (Waveriders), Kamloops (Classic Swimming) and Kelowna (Aquajets and Liquid Lightning), and a combined club from Terrace, Prince Rupert and Kitimat (Points North).
Racing starts Friday at 5:40 p.m. Saturday's races are scheduled from 9:10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and the meet will continue Sunday from 8:40 a.m. to 2 p.m.
