Local minor lacrosse teams made their presence felt at the Calgary Canada Day Tournament.
The Prince George bantam Posse, under the guidance of coach Blake McIntosh, finished as gold medalists in the event's B pool. Meanwhile, the peewee and midget Posse squads played for bronze medals in the A pool. Prince George also had a novice club at the tournament, which attracted teams from BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Washington, California and Colorado.
