The Save-On Foods bantam A2 Posse was hoping to catch the big prize at the provincial championships in Delta.
Unfortunately for the Posse, their A2 opponents had the same idea.
The Posse opened the eight-team double-knockout tournament in style, defeating Kelowna 6-4, but lost the next two games, 6-5 to Richmond and 7-4 to Nanaimo, and were eliminated.
Campbell River won the gold medal Sunday with a 9-6 triumph over Richmond. Burnaby defeated Kelowna 7-6 in the bronze medal game.
Jonathon Wittmeier of the Posse made the all-star team, while Griffin Wal of Prince George earned a fair play award.
n The Prince George Deloitte midget B Posse will be in Port Coquitlam for the provincial championship, starting Friday.
The Posse opens Friday morning at 9:30 against Coquitlam No. 2, followed by a 5 p.m. game against Campbell River. On Saturday, the Posse plays Langley at 8 a.m.
