With the chance to leap ahead two games to none in the Prince George Senior Lacrosse Association playoffs the BX Pub Bandits did not have to resort to banditry, they won fair and square.

That's bad news for the Tabor Sports Pub/Regional Security Stylers, who face elimination when the best-of-five semifinal series after dropping a 13-7 decision to the Bandits in Game 2 Thursday night at Kin 1.

Despite missing a few regulars from the lineup, the Bandits showed no mercy, capitalizing on the rookie-laden Stylers' turnovers and a few undisciplined penalties to build an early lead. Matt Rochon, with four goals, and Doug Schoenville, with three spiced the Bandits' offence. Dave Smith and Mike Quarin each fired hat tricks for the Stylers.

BX Pub won the opener 12-5 on Tuesday.

The playoffs resume Monday night at 8 p.m. at Kin 1, when the defending-champion Shooters Pub Devils will try to finish off the College Heights Pub Assault. The Devils lead that series 2-0.
