The BX Pub Bandits will try to add a playoff championship to their regular-season title. To do it, they'll have to find a way to halt the momentum of the College Heights Pub Assault.
The Bandits and Assault will play Game 1 of the best-of-seven Prince George Senior Lacrosse Association championship series on Monday (8 p.m., Kin 1). BX Pub, which ran to a 10-2 record during the regular schedule, enters the final as the favourite. But, the Assault -- the third-place team during the regular season with a mark of 4-8 -- is coming off a remarkable comeback in its playoff semifinal against the Shooters Pub Devils. BX was blown out in the first two games of that series but stayed alive with a win in Game 3. Then, the Assault pulled off a pair of stunning overtime victories and, in doing so, clinched a spot in the final.
