Relay team records and 19 trips to the individual medal podium made for a great weekend at the track for Prince George athletes at the Van Ryswyk Invitational indoor meet Kamloops.
Two 4X200 relay teams from the city set meet records while winning their events on Sunday. The 18-19-year-old boys relay team of Ryan Gaiesky, Omar Medina, Jagbir Parmar, and Jonathan Doyon won its race, while the 16-17-year-old girls team of Shonda Couroux, Rebeka Kidd, Maria Newton, and Shelby Jansen was also good as gold. Another Prince George team made up of Rachel Kidd, Kim Hirtz, Sam Wankling, and Brooklyn Stauffer finished second in the 16-17-year-old girls race.
