Hockey will take Brent Arsenault back to his old stomping grounds next winter.

Arsenault, a 41-year-old Prince George resident, has been selected as a Team B.C. assistant coach for the 2011 Canada Winter Games, Feb. 11-27 in Halifax. Arsenault was born and raised in the town of Antigonish, about a two-hour drive northeast of Halifax.

"It will be a really neat opportunity for me and I'm definitely looking forward to it," said Arsenault, who works full-time as the principal at St. Mary's School and has a sideline gig as an assistant coach with the Prince George Cougars.

"It's kind of an added bonus, really, that it's back there and it will be a good experience for the guys from B.C. to travel basically right across the country."
