Archers shoot way to B.C. Games

Four Prince George archers and two from Quesnel have qualified to represent Zone 8 at the 2016 B.C. Winter Games.

Four Prince George archers and two from Quesnel have qualified to represent Zone 8 at the 2016 B.C. Winter Games.

The successful shooters at a recent trial were Kaytlyn Maclennes, Sean Williams, Allaina Proctor, Jayden Harden, Kelly Murray and Emerie Watson. Maclennes, Williams, Proctor and Harden are members of Prince George's Silvertip Archers, while Murray and Watson hail from Quesnel. Watson was a bronze-medalist at the 2015 Canada Winter Games in Prince George.

Zone 8 stretches from 100 Mile House in the south to Fort St. John in the north.

The B.C. Winter Games will be held Feb. 25-28 in Penticton.
