Archers bull’s-eye at B.C. Winter Games

Prince George archers were on target for medals at the 2014 B.C. Winter Games in Mission last week. The five archers from the Silvertip Archers Club represented Zone 8, Cariboo-North East, and won seven medals at the four-day event.

The five archers from the Silvertip Archers Club represented Zone 8, Cariboo-North East, and won seven medals at the four-day event.

Mya Schouwenburg, 16, won gold in the women's 1,200 round and silver in the match play shoot-off, setting three Canadian records in the process.

Spencer Schouwenburg, 14, won double gold in the men's 1,200 round and the shoot-off.

Dawson Williams also won double gold in the 1,200 and shoot-off rounds.

Shadae Pollon won bronze in the shoot-off after a fourth-place finish in the 1,200.

Denise Galloway earned a fourth-place finish in the shoot-off.

The Silvertips are competing on their home range this Sunday, March 2 at the FCA Regionals. Provincials follow April 18 in Oliver.
