The Penticton driver will be seeking his second win of the season in the ARCA OK Tire Sportsman Series Saturday in Quesnel and the 2009 points champion will be tough to beat. He has consistently been among the ARCA leaders, finishing second in the season-opener in Vernon, May 7. Mechanical problems kept him off the podium in Williams Lake, May 28, and Berriau had to settle for ninth place.

His victory at PGARA Speedway left him second in the points standings with 157 points, 14 behind series leader Ian Graham of Harrison Hot Springs, followed by third-place Ryley Seibert of Williams Lake, who trails Graham by 34 points.

One driver to watch on Saturday is Logan Jewell of Prince George. Driving a brand-new race car owned by Gary MacCarthy of Terrace, Jewell led the race at PGARA Speedway for 37 of 100 laps and was in position to push for a podium finish but lost that battle by a whisker, finishing fourth.

Chris Babcock of Fort St. John and former Prince George resident Bob Mear of Clearwater, the respective second- and third-place finishers in Prince George, could also factor in the final outcome in Quesnel. Babcock ranks fifth in the standings with 110 points and Mear is sixth with 101.

Other notables in the ARCA Sportsman standings are Dave Olson of Quesnel (seventh place, 96 points), Bob Williams of Prince George (tied for 16th place, 37 points), and Sheldon Mayert (19th, 33 points) and Garnet Grimard of Williams Lake (tied for 20th, 31 points).
