The Greater Strides Hockey Academy is skating into Prince George for an aboriginal summer hockey camp Aug. 16-18 at CN Centre.

The camp is free and lunches are provided. Players will receive instruction in five areas - on-ice hockey development, dry-land training, hockey-talk, swim time and learning how to have fun.

Greater Strides is teasing people to watch for a "special celebrity guest" to be announced on its Twitter and Facebook sites and on its website.

When the summer camp came to Prince George last year, former NHL player Georges Laraque was the feature attraction. Laraque, an African American, played more than 11 seasons in the NHL and speaks about making it to the big leagues in a predominantly white sport and about how he dealt with the verbal taunts on the ice from opposing players.
