City’s best wheelchair curlers shooting for fourth Canadian championship

They are three-time defending national champions. Whitney Warren and Frank LaBounty are now in position to take aim at title No. 4.

Warren and LaBounty were part of the winning rink at the wheelchair curling provincials, held in Victoria on the weekend. The Prince George men -- at skip and third respectively -- teamed up with Gerry Austgarden of Kelowna and Alison Duddy of Quesnel to beat a crew skipped by Rich Green 7-1 in the final game. The win qualified Warren's foursome for the Canadian championships, March 16-21 in Kelowna.
