Former Prince George city councillor and mayoral candidate Don Zurowski is no longer chair of the Passenger Transportation Board.
He has been replaced by Catharine Read, a former deputy minister and assistant deputy minister, Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Claire Trevena said Monday.
Read brings a "wealth of experience from other board appointments," Travena said in a statement.
Those include sitting on the boards for Tourism British Columbia, Crystal Meth Prevention B.C. and Katimavik Youth Services in the Yukon.
Zurowski had just finished his second term as chair of the PTB. He was named to the position in 2011.
Read takes over just as the PTB is considering an application from Greyhound to eliminate passenger service in northern B.C., citing significant financial losses.
