Prince George-Peace River-Northern Rockies MP Bob Zimmer will once again lead the group of his party's federal representatives from B.C. and the Yukon.
Zimmer was elected chair of the Conservative BC/Yukon caucus this week, allowing him to carry on in the role he was first appointed to by former prime minister Stephen Harper in October 2013.
This was the first time regional caucus chairs have been elected to the spot, as opposed to being appointed.
Okanagan-Shuswap MP Mel Arnold was elected vice-chair.
"I am honoured and humbled to receive the confidence of my regional colleagues to continue on as chair of the B.C./Yukon Conservative caucus," said Zimmer, in a press release.
"My colleagues and I will continue to provide a strong voice for the region and work hard to ensure that the interests of our region are heard."
