Zalm cut doesn't pan out

Premier Gordon Campbell made no moves to cut the HST or move up the date of a province-wide vote on the tax Friday at the annual convention of the Union of B.C. Municipalities as claimed by anti-HST leader Bill Vander Zalm.

Premier Gordon Campbell made no moves to cut the HST or move up the date of a province-wide vote on the tax Friday at the annual convention of the Union of B.C. Municipalities as claimed by anti-HST leader Bill Vander Zalm.

Instead, he defended the HST as good policy, although he acknowledged his government had not done a good job of introducing or explaining the HST.
