The Federal Public Sector Youth Internship's main objective is to enable, unemployed or under-employed young Canadians, to acquire the experience and skills they need to enter and fully participate in the labour market.

These internships are offered throughout B.C. and the Yukon in a wide variety of fields.

An internship is a flexible assignment geared toward providing an opportunity to develop employable skills.

A mentor will be provided to act as the intern's guide and advisor.

The internship positions normally last 10 months for non-graduates of high-school and six months for high-school graduates and post-secondary school graduates.

To qualify applicants have to be between 15 and 30 years of age, the deadline to apply is Sept. 2.
