An 18-year-old youth has been charged with second-degree murder and indignity to human remains in relation to the August 2014 death of a Mackenzie man, RCMP said Friday.
Because he was less than 18 years old at the time of the alleged incident, the accused's name cannot be released.
He faces the charges in the death of Maurice Wallace, 49, whose body was found in an outbuilding on the property where he lived, on the east side of the community of 3,500 people north of Prince George.
A 17-year-old was taken into custody and remanded under the Mental Health Act for assessment, RCMP said at the time.
