Anyone thinking of running for public office can now submit his or her nomination papers for the Oct. 20 municipal election.

The nomination period is from Sept. 4 until 4 p.m. on Sept. 14.

Besides filling out the mandatory (and let’s be real, mundane) forms, we’re asking our local candidates to answer a few of our questions.

We've come up with a list of serious and not-so-serious queries — ones we hope will be able to inform our readers about who is looking to represent them around the horseshoe.

We anticipate dozens of folks will have their name on the ballot. We want to give everyone a chance to fill out our questionnaire, so we strongly encourage candidates to participate in our survey.

Candidates (regional district, municipal and school board ): Copy and paste the below questionnaire into an email, address it to Daniel MacKenzie, (PrinceGeorgeMatters, Editor) and send it to [email protected]. Hate speech and swearing will not be tolerated.

PrinceGeorgeMatters will be publishing the Q&As once the nomination period closes.

Stay tuned!
