Ditch the car, and don’t bother waiting for a cab because you can ride the bus for free on New Year’s Eve.
The city of Prince George and B.C. Transit have teamed up to offer free evening service on Dec. 31 to help everyone enjoy New Year’s Eve festivities and get home safely.
The free service will run from 7 p.m. until 3 a.m on New Year’s Eve. However, there will be no bus service running on New Year’s Day (Jan. 1).
Also, transit takers should be aware that regular service ends at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve, and there will be no service on Christmas Day and only Sunday-level service on Boxing Day.
Regularly scheduled transit service will resume on Jan 2.
