"You Can Heal Your Life, the movie version of Louise Hay's best seller, is being presented tonight by the YES Alliance in Prince George.
The 2008 film is the story of Hay's life and career as a healer, focusing on how she lived the teachings she wrote about in her 1984 book. She explains her theory that physical ailments and diseases are the result of unconscious feelings of self-hatred and offers ideas to overcome.
Local guest panelists at the event will be Imani, natural healing practitioner at Native Friendship Centre; Marshall Smith, executive director at Baldy Hughes Addiction Treatment Centre; Elizabeth Vieira-Richard of People Dynamics Inc.; and Dr. Nicole Zutz of Prince George Naturopathic Medical Centre.
The event is at UNBC Canfor Theatre from 7 to 10 p.m. Tickets, available at Books & Co., Zen Garden, Homework, and at the door for cash, are $12 for students and $14 for adults or three for $36.
