Free summer memberships are offered to teens 13 to 18 years old at the YMCA of Northern B.C.
With a letter grade of D- given to Canada's children on the 2015 ParticipACTION Report Card on Physical Activity for Children and Youth because less than nine per cent of children are getting the recommended 60 minutes of active play each day, the YMCA was inspired to offer the summer membership from now until Aug. 31.
To sign up, teens can visit the YMCA at 2020 Massey Dr. with a parent or guardian and be sure to bring photo ID.
