Van Bien is hosting two workshops today to promote student mental wellness.
"When it comes to supporting child and youth mental wellness, improvements in mental health literacy can have a number of benefits including prevention, early recognition and intervention," said the event description.
The goal is also to reduce stigma and discrimination.
Workers from the Kelty Mental Health Resource Centre, based out of B.C. Children's Hospital, will be in Prince George to provide resources for students experiencing mental health challenges and suggest strategies to promote overall wellness.
The first session, which starts at 3:30 p.m. is for those working in a school setting. The second session, starting at 7 p.m. is for parents, youth and community members.
Both sessions are held at Van Bien Training and Development Centre at 311 Wilson Cres.
