WorkBC offering virtual help during COVID-19 pandemic

computer

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused an influx of calls and messages to WorkBC from B.C. residents looking for work or looking for advice on how to keep their jobs.

WorkBC is accepting phone calls, texts and emails to advise their customers, and they are also offering other virtual programs.

Job seekers can improve their skills in WorkBC's new online workshops, and they can also utilize the Virtual Job Hubs to meet with local employers who are still hiring.

"The Job Hubs provide hope and encouragement that there are still jobs out there," says facilitator Joy Magnell.

"There are so many people that have lost a little bit of hope right now – knowing that we have employers that are still hiring gives them something to hold on to."

You can check out WorkBC's online services on their website.
