There were starts on 16 new single-family homes in Prince George and area in October, according to numbers released Wednesday by the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation.
The count raised the year-to-date total to 104, five more than the number reached by the same point last year. During October 2013, there were starts on six new single-family homes.
Also, there were starts on seven units of multiple housing, one more than for the same month last year. The year-to-date total on that front now stands at 14, compared to 67 by the same point last year.
