Two women, related to each other, were sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty to charges related to a shoplifting incident at Real Canadian Superstore the day before.
Joann Monk, 48, was sentenced to 19 days in jail and one year probation for theft $5,000 or under and Casey Dawn Monk, 36, was sentenced to one year probation with a suspended sentence for theft $5,000 or under and possession of stolen property under $5,000.
A third woman, also related, Gina Ann Monk, 36, remains in custody on charges of theft $5,000 or under, willfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer and breach of probation.
More than $450 worth of items believed to have been stolen from the store were found on them, said RCMP, who were called to the scene shortly before 10:30 p.m.
