A 29-year-old woman died early Wednesday morning when she was ejected from the vehicle she was driving after it went off Highway 97 about five kilometres north of Mackenzie Junction, North District RCMP Cst. Lesley Smith said.
Emergency personnel were called to the scene at about 12:50 a.m. and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene, Smith said. Her name has not yet been released.
The highway has since been reopened after an investigator collected evidence at the scene. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call Mackenzie RCMP at 250-997-3288.
