A 24-year-old woman suffering from serious injuries is recovering in hospital after reports she jumped from a moving vehicle Saturday.
Prince George RCMP closed down part of Giscome Road for about five hours to gather evidence after the report came it at around 5:15 a.m. Saturday.
Police said Monday they learned a woman was suffering from severe injuries at the hospital and found her there drunk.
The driver, a 28-year-old man, brought the woman to the hospital and is cooperating with police.
"Although the investigation is continuing, so far there is no evidence to suggest that foul play was a factor," said Cpl. Craig Douglass in the email statement.
The RCMP's serious crime unit is leading the investigation and a collision reconstructionist was called in to assist.
