A suspect has been arrested and charged after a man showed up at University Hospital of Northern British Columbia last week with extensive injuries.
April Rose Charlie, 30, faces one count each of aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
Police had issued a call for witnesses after receiving a report Nov. 4 of the man attending hospital at about 1 p.m. but unable to speak because of the medical treatment he was receiving at the time.
Police believe the assault occurred downtown and involved a blunt object.
Charlie was released on a recognizance.
