A woman who survived a rollover only because two rescuers were able to lift the vehicle off her is now suing the man who was behind the wheel.

In a statement of claim filed earlier this month, Angel Willard is alleging Christian Mercier was speeding along Blackwater Road near West Lake when his Chevrolet Corvette fishtailed and rolled into a ditch in May 2016.

As a result, she suffered fractures, burns and cuts to various parts of her body as well as an infection in the bones of her left leg. She's consequently needed numerous surgeries, including two skin grafts, and will need more surgeries, according to the claim.

Two men, Quinten Korneili and Chesediah Sterling, happened upon the scene and, with the help of a jack-all, eased the car off her chest.

The other passenger in the car, Cory Miller, is also suing Mercier. His injuries include a concussion and memory loss. His claim was filed in November.

Miller was sitting in the passenger seat with a seatbelt. Willard was sitting in Miller's lap wen she was flung from the vehicle.

Mercier has not yet filed responses to the claims and none of the allegations have been proven in court.
