Prince George RCMP are seeking a potential witness related to the bomb scare earlier this week.
Specifically, they are looking for the occupants of a grey Mazda pickup truck with matching canopy.
It was seen driving up University Way sometime between 11 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday and police believe those in the vehicle would have seen the explosion and possible whoever was responsible.
University Way was closed off four about 12 hours before reopening shortly before noon Wednesday after police responded to a shots fired call and found an improvised explosive device in a near a garbage can and light standard.
An RCMP bomb disposal unit was called in from Vancouver to deal with the device.
