Winter brings plenty of activities

This six-session interactive workshop is for adults of any age who have chronic pain. It covers a range of strategies and tools to help you manage your pain and life the life you want. The Chronic Pain Self-Management Program, sponsored by the Ministry of Health, will be offered in Prince George by two local facilitators at the UNBC campus on Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. from Jan. 11 to Feb. 15, 2012. The North Central Seniors Association is holding an open house featuring their photography club on Jan. 23 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Refreshments will be served and everyone is welcome to attend.

The Northern BC Children and Families hearing society is hosting an information session for people who are living with a disability or are caregivers for someone disabled to discuss the Government of Canada's registered disability saving plan. The session will be held on Jan. 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the Native Friendship Centre. Tickets are free and available by calling 1-877-488-2559 ext 27.

On Jan. 31 from 11:45 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., The French Canadian Association is hosting a seniors and friends luncheon featuring a traditional meal.

The lunch will be held at the Westwood Menonite Church, 2658 Ospika Blvd.
