One of the hottest tickets of the year is about to go up for sale.
Each autumn, Theatre NorthWest pops the cork off the wine industry with their Wine Festival fundraiser. The event is divided into the day tastings and the evening tastings. The daytime edition is already on sale and going fast for $70.
Tickets to the coveted evening edition will go on sale at noon on Oct. 2. Those are $80.
Those wishing to jump the queue and get those popular spots, day or night, can do so by purchasing a TNW season's pass and get automatic early access to the Wine Festival. The wine festival is always sold out.
This year's International Wine Festival will be held Nov. 18 at the Exploration Place. Theatre tickets and wine festival tickets are available online at www.theatrenorthwest.com or in physical form at Books & Company.
Theatre NorthWest is not just a purveyor of wine. The professional theatre company also raises funds with the best of Scotland's whiskys. They host a regular set of Scotch And Socials, the next one being Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. at the theatre.
According to TNW's general manager Marnie Hamagami: "We are testing Oban 14-year, Shieldaig 18-year, Lagavulin 16-year, a few more to come."
Tickets are $75 and include three tastings of rare, single malt scotches as well as appetizers.
"There will also be an opportunity for an additional tasting of a unique scotch," Hamagami said. "Buy a ticket for all the details."
All proceeds go to support Theatre North West's ongoing work.
