Wind storms lead to power outages

High winds have caused eight power outages in the Prince George area, according to BC Hydro. The largest is east of Hannekan Road, south of Plett Road and west of Highway 97, where a dozen customers have been affected.

The largest is east of Hannekan Road, south of Plett Road and west of Highway 97, where a dozen customers have been affected. The rest have affected five or fewer customers.

Add on outages in Quesnel and Williams Lake and the total rises to 36 in the Central Interior, most affecting five or fewer homes.

Power is expected to be restored in all affected areas by 4 p.m.
