There's now a way to know ahead of time if smoke from a forest fire is going to descend on the city.
The provincial environment ministry's air quality branch has established a website, www.bcairquality.com/bluesky/, where visitors can watch an animation that provides an hour-by-hour forecast of smoke from forest fires in B.C. and Alberta up to 48 hours in the future.
