A wildfire smoke advisory issued Monday for or Prince George and six other Central Interior communities has come to an end. The advisory, issued by the B.C. Ministry of Environment, was lifted as of 11 a.m. today.

The advisory, issued by the B.C. Ministry of Environment, was lifted as of 11 a.m. today.

The advisory also covered Vanderhoof, Quesnel, Williams Lake, Burns Lake, Houston and Mackenzie and their surrounding areas and was issued due to forest fire smoke.

The city's Free Fare for Clean Air, offering free public transit will end at midnight.
