A wildfire smoke air quality advisory that lasted seven days in Prince George was cancelled this morning.
During the advisory, fueled by forest fires burning west and southwest of Prince George, fine particulate air pollution levels reached historic levels.
Rain and cooler temperatures have likely reduced the intensity of fires, noted B.C. Environment air pollution meteorologist Dennis Fudge.
A wildfire smoke advisory was also cancelled for Vanderhoof this morning.
