Another prominent Canadian restaurant chain is going beyond — Beyond Meat, that is.

White Spot is adding the Beyond Meat burger to their menu, and will feature the plant-based patty on a new Avocado Beyond Burger.

The Avocado Beyond Burger hits the menus at all full-service White Spot locations in B.C. and Alberta starting Monday, April 15. The burger includes the Beyond Meat patty, topped with fresh avocado, pickled onions, roasted corn, crisp lettuce, vine-ripened tomatoes, jalapeño ranch and edamame hummus.

Just like with a regular White Spot burger, or any of their other burger options, you can get your Avocado Beyond Meat burger with a side of salad, slaw, or “endless” fries, or swap in their Caesar salad, sweet potato fries, poutine, onion rings, or signature Zoo Sticks for an upcharge.

Prefer to team up a Beyond Meat burger with White Spot’s Legendary Triple-O? No problem, because for $1.99, the Beyond Meat burger can be used in any of the burgers on the White Spot menu.

If a burger isn’t your thing, you can also get the Beyond Meat burger patty in the restaurant’s new Southwest Power Bowl, featuring avocado, cherry tomatoes, radish, roasted corn and cabbage, served with quinoa and jasmine rice with greens, jalapeño ranch and edamame hummus.

For those who prefer to be fully plant-based, you can request modifications with the Beyond Meat salad and burger to make your meal vegan. You can also request your burger with lettuce in place of the bun, or sub-in a gluten-free bun.

Over at the White Spot’s quick-serve Triple O’s chain, Beyond Meat is also coming on board. Beginning Monday, May 6, the Beyond Burger will also be available a Triple O’s in a new Beyond Original signature burger as well as a limited-edition Mushroom Avocado Beyond Burger.

White Spot is among several Canadian chains getting on board with Beyond Meat products. Last year A&W Canada launched their Beyond Meat burger, and have since added a Beyond Meat sausage patty to their breakfast menu. Earlier this year, Quesada, a Tex-Mex-style chain launched a Beyond Meat Burrito made with Beyond Meat’s Feisty Crumbles.

“White Spot has nearly a century of burger expertise under their belt and shares in our commitment to creating high-quality, delicious burgers,” says Beyond Meat founder and CEO Ethan Brown in a media release. “The Beyond Burger provides the satiating taste of a traditional burger but comes with the added health and sustainability benefits of plant-based meat. We’re excited to see how White Spot brings it to life across their menu.”
