Coldsnap Festival presents Adonis Puentes Band Friday at 8 p.m. at the Ramada. The Mike Foottit Band, a local group, will be the opening act for this show. Adonis is carrying on the tradition of Sonero singers with a Cuban beat. Come to dance. Tickets are $26 at Books & Co., Studio 2880 and UNBC bookstore.

Parks Talks, part one, Treasures of the Parks Canada Athapaskann, begins Saturday at 2 p.m. at Exploration Place. This is a new series of several interpretive programs about exciting research, findings, history and information from our national parks. The first program details some of the most valuable and fascinating artifacts from the Athapaskan Collection, a collection in storage at the Exploration Place archives before eventual repatriation back to the Fort St. James/Nak'azdli region.
