As WestJet gears up for the direct flight between Prince George and Puerto Vallarta beginning in December, sun seekers thoughts might turn to other destinations as well.
But WestJet said there are no future plans to offer a direct flight to any other sunny destination right now.
“While we are always looking for opportunities to expand its network, there are no plans for expansion out of Prince George at this time,” Julia Kaiser, a WestJet public relations representative, said.
The response has been a positive one to the WestJet announcement earlier this year that the direct flight to Puerto Vallarta would resume for Prince George patrons.
WestJet said it’s pleased with the response from the Prince George community for the Puerto Vallarta/Prince George flight.
The flights will depart and arrive every Saturday from Dec. 16 until April 20, 2024.
The direct flight, that ended in March 2020 when the pandemic started, will see passengers aboard a Boeing 737 with a capacity between 160 and 180 people.
