A task force looking into B.C.'s local government electoral process has a new website to provide
information on the existing system and collect written comments from the public.
The site is found at www.localelectionstaskforce.gov.bc.ca, and written input is sought as soon as possible, preferably by April 15.

The task force is reviewing campaign finance, rules enforcement, the role of B.C.'s chief electoral officer in local elections, terms of office, a proposal for a corporate vote and other issues that are raised.
Task force recommendations are to be presented to the province and the Union of British Columbia Municipalities by no later than May 30, so changes can be implemented in time for the 2011 local government elections.
