Snowfall warning for the Pine Pass today and tonight.

There is a warning that between five and 15 cm of snow could accumulate in the Pine Pass today and tonight, Environment Canada reported.

A band of heavy rain will develop over the Peace River district today. Along the eastern slopes of the Rockies, precipitation will fall as snow.

For regions further away from the Rockies, the heavy rain is expected to transition to snow mixed with rain during the day due to its intensity.

Snowfall accumulation across the regions will be highly variable with higher accumulations more likely along the eastern slopes of the Rockies. Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
