CN Centre, Kin Centre and Exhibition Park will be shut down for six hours today to allow city crews to repair a damaged watermain.

Crews will be excavating and replacing a leaking watermain

running under 18th Avenue, CN Centre manger Andy Beesley said. Water at CN Centre and Exhibition Place is expected to be off from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The arena and Exhibition Park facilities will be shut down while the water is off for fire safety and sanitary reasons, Beesley said.

"We do have a couple groups we're going to have to bump. But we should be able to reschedule them some ice time," he said.

"The biggest inconvenience is the office staff, Ticketmaster, the Cougars and so on."

The arenas will be open for the

6 a.m. rush and then shut down at

8 a.m., Beesley said.
