The Croft Hotel is closed this week and part of next due to a Liquor Control and Licensing Branch infraction.

A notice of closure was posted on the Prince George bar's front door on Wednesday advising of a 10-day shutdown. The reason, according to a provincial LCLB spokesperson, was for allowing an intoxicated person to remain on the premises, a contravention of provincial law.

A two-day hearing was held into the matter, with police and liquor inspector testimony supporting the allegations.

This is not the only time the past year that the Croft Hotel operation has been found in contravention of that same charge.
