Northwood Pulpmill Road traffic will be disrupted for the next few weeks as city crews work on some underground infrastructure.
Beginning Monday and going until approximately the end of July, the southbound lane of Northwood Pulpmill Road will be closed. The northbound lane - heading towards the pulpmill - will be open to local residents and pulpmill traffic.
The city is installing a watermain from Aberdeen Road to Clubhouse drive. The new main is expected to provide better, more reliable flow and - with the addition of new hydrants - improved fire protection for the area.
Large truck traffic travelling southbound on the road will be detoured to Highway 97 along Noranda Road. Traffic control personnel will be at the intersection of Noranda Road and Highway 97 to direct for the duration of the detour.
