Residents in the area of Tabor Boulevard from approximately Fifth Avenue to the end of Tabor may experience short disruptions to their water service between now and Saturday.
City crews are conducting emergency repairs to water transmission lines in the area, a statement issued by the city on Thursday said. Homes in the area may experience little or no water service that may last from 30 minutes to two hours.
The project may also result in short periods of reduced water pressure throughout the bowl area west of Carney Street.
Work began on Monday to repair a damaged water valve, which led to the closure of the intersection at First Avenue and Tabour Boulevard. Drivers, cyclists and pedestrians are advised to plan alternative routs, since the intersection will be completely closed during construction.
