Wanted couple arrested

A wanted man and woman are in custody after attempting to flee police Wednesday morning. Both Cole Aubichon, 28, and Cree Parenteau, 21, were on outstanding arrest warrants when RCMP spotted the two exiting a vehicle in the 2200-block of Oak Street.

A wanted man and woman are in custody after attempting to flee police Wednesday morning.

Both Cole Aubichon, 28, and Cree Parenteau, 21, were on outstanding arrest warrants when RCMP spotted the two exiting a vehicle in the 2200-block of Oak Street.

When police activated emergency lights, Parenteau attempted to flee but was was soon apprehended while Aubichon made it into a nearby alley.

A police service dog was called in and tracked Aubichon to a 2100-block Norwood home. He tried to resist arrest but was taken into custody with minor bite wounds, RCMP said.

Aubichon faces four counts of breach of probation, three counts of failing to comply with an undertaking, two counts of obstructing a peace officer and one count each of theft under $5,000, possession of stolen property and possession of break-in instruments.

Parenteau faces two counts each of theft $5,000 or under and possession of stolen property, found counts of breach of a recognizance and one count of possession of break-in instruments.

Further charges are possible, RCMP said.
