A man with a history of drug-related violence is at large.

Prince George RCMP issued a wanted bulletin Wednesday for Colin Michaud Durrand after he allegedly breached a release order.

Durrand is described as 31 years old, 188 cm (6’2) tall and weighing 77 kg (170 lbs) with black hair and brown eyes and a scar on his right jaw.

He is known to use the alias Devin Durrand.

Durrand has a criminal record consisting mostly of minor offences but, in May 2016, he was sentenced to time served and two years probation for his role in a pair of drug-related assaults.

Durrand currently faces weapons charges from a March 29 arrest by the Prince George RCMP's street crew unit and at a time when the city saw two homicides police have linked to a drug-related gang rivalry.

RCMP said Durrand was found with body armour and a loaded high-calibre rifle with high-capacity magazines and had tried to ram a police vehicle before he was arrested. Durrand also faces a count of resisting arrest. A trial on the matters is scheduled for this November.

In September, he was released on $500 bail, court records show.

RCMP say Durrand is violent and should not be approached.

Anyone with information on where Durrand may be is asked to contact Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300.
