It won't quite be like Harvard Law School with Elle Woods and Emmett Richards, but it's a start.

If you're interested in practising law, UNBC is hosting an event you'll more than likely want to attend.

This Wednesday (Jan. 30), the post-secondary school will open its door for prospective students interested in legal work can find out how to begin their pre-law education.

The event will feature UNBC graduates who have gone on to have successful careers and did their studies in Prince George prior to attending law school.

In a news release, the school says lawyers will talk about their experiences on choosing their degrees, how the UNBC experience helped them, what it was like to study for and write the Law School Admission Test, what you can expect in law school, and what it's like when you actually become a lawyer.

“When it comes to thinking about professional degrees such as law school, UNBC can be the perfect step on a student’s post-secondary journey,” Dennis Stark, UNBC’s Interim Manager of Student Recruitment adds in the release.

“At this event, our law-practising alumni will share their experiences they had en route to working in the field of law, and how studying at a small research university such as UNBC prepared them for success.”

If you're interested in attending, you can RSVP online or at the door.

The event runs from 5 to 7 p.m. in Room 8-164.

And maybe you can find a cute dog like Bruiser Woods once you head off to law school!
