An attempted pedestrian robbery on Sunday evening has police looking for a lone suspect.

According to RCMP, an adult male and female were walking at 8 p.m. in the area of 15th Avenue and West Central Street.

"Both advised that an unknown male approached the two of them on foot and demanded money," said Prince George RCMP spokesman Cpl. Craig Douglass. "The suspect did not produce a weapon, but did threaten the victims verbally. Nothing was obtained and the suspect fled on foot. Neither victim suffered any physical injuries."

Police considered the incident to be of great concern. A search of the area turned up no sign of the suspect, so the public is asked to help draw investigators' attention to whomever it might have been.

The suspect is described as being First Nations, about five-foot-seven, wearing a red baseball cap, black jacket and a backpack.
