Tomorrow, Prince George animals and animal lovers will be strutting their stuff in a fundraising walk in support of the North Cariboo branch of the BC SPCA.

The walk, taking place at Cottonwood Island Park, begins at 11 a.m. with registration beginning at 10 a.m. Mayor Dan Rogers and his dog, Freckles, will lead the P.G. event.

This year, the SPCA is aiming to raise $1 million for animals in need across the province. The BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and shelter for almost 37,000 animals each year through its 41 facilities and operations across B.C. The society is also responsible for conducting thousands of animal cruelty investigations and promoting education and advocacy for domestic, farm and wild animals.
